Mesa Verde

Located just 30 minutes from
Blue Lake Ranch, Mesa Verde National Park is an amazing destination for the whole family!  Many of our guests at Blue Lake Ranch frequent these ancient Indian Ruins.

Mesa Verde, Spanish for green table, offers a spectacular look into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years.  The park protects over 4,000 known archeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. These sites are some of the most notable and best preserved in the United States. The stunning landscape of Southwest Colorado, near Four Corners, is the backdrop as you explore Mesa Verde National Park.

A day trip to Mesa Verde is enjoyable and educational.  The history behind the breathtaking architecture is stunning.  While visiting the park, it is not uncommon to see various types of wildlife such as lizards, golden eagles, and wild horses.
